Independent survey results have shown that 80% of snorers would visit their GP with a snoring problem. However in consultation with GP's we understand the frustrating catch 22 situation of a patient who presents with a complaint of snoring. In most cases GP's refer to Sleep Centres. However now GP's have the option to use Solutions 4 Snoring's Online Assessment and/or Domiciliary Sleep Test service.The majority of snorers are simple palatal snorers and as the sleep centres are overwhelmed with demand from severe apnoeics so many snorers go untreated. The current system is rightly geared to handle severe apnoeics.

After positive feedback from Sleep Centres with regard to our plan to educate GDP's in the prescription of MAS devices we have put together a training programme that will educate in the region of 1000 healthcare professionals per annum to provide this much needed service.

In addition to the referrals that will come from Sleep Centres who cannot resource the provision of this service to simple snorers and mild apnoeics, we are seeking to build relationships with GP's. We hope that you will also refer and educate the public as to this alternative route for treatment.
